Oral Examination & Comprehensive Evaluation

We visually inspect the mouth, head, and neck in an oral examination to detect any abnormalities or places of discomfort.

Radiographs allow for a detailed examination, aiding the Doctor to detect cavities, existing dental restorations, gum and bone recession, and other abnormal issues.

Cleaning

A dental clean is a refreshing experience for the mouth, especially the teeth and tongue. Things included in this service are the removal of plaque and tartar (calculus) from the teeth. Highly effective and specialized instruments gently remove any plaque deposits without making the patient feel any discomfort.

The Doctor will use an ultrasonic vibrating device that cools the mouth with water, slowly loosens, and breaks down any tartar in the clean process. Once the more significant pieces break down, the Doctor uses hand tools to manually remove smaller plaque particles that leave your teeth feeling fresh and smooth. By finishing the clean with a detailed polish, leave the clinic with your pearly whites feeling refreshed and brighter.

Custom Mouth Guards

Athletes must take care of their teeth while playing contact sports. Our custom mouth guards protect the gums, teeth, lips, and arches. Having a mouthguard custom to your mouth shape can significantly reduce dental incidents.

Scaling and Root Planing

The non-surgical scaling and root planing procedure are to treat gum disease. The Doctor uses specialized dental instruments to remove dental plaque and calculus underneath the gums in the scaling process.

The planing procedure smooths the roots of the tooth post scaling. Root planing helps the gums heal and reattach themselves to a smoother and cleaner root surface.

Root Canal Treatment

A root canal is a treatment to aid an infected tooth’s pulp to eliminate infection, heal, and protect the decontaminated tooth from future issues. In most cases, a root canal is necessary when decay has hit the tooth’s nerve and becomes infected.

The procedure includes removing the infected pulp from the tooth chamber. The Doctor disinfects and cleans the tooth to prepare for the filling and seal to minimize potential reinfection.

Once the root canal is complete, the Doctor will restore the tooth with a dental crown or filling to restore it to its normal function.

Extractions

When restorative procedures are not enough, the tooth is numbed via anesthesia and removed. The removal starts with a gentle rocking motion by loosening the tooth from the surrounding ligament tissues and jawbone.

Once the tooth is loose enough, the extraction commences. Some cases may require stitches after the removal.
